As a seasoned traveler with a passion for historical charm, my recent stay at the Hotel Eklund in Clayton was a delightful step back in time. the beautifully restored hotel exudes a Wild West ambiance that transports you to a bygone era. the Queen room we stayed in was tastefully decorated, offering modern comforts like TV and WiFi. The hotel's lobby, filled with unique artifacts, felt like a scene from a classic western movie, adding to the overall immersive experience. While the room was basic, the spacious bathroom with good water pressure in the shower was a pleasant surprise. the thin walls were a minor inconvenience, easily remedied by the use of a personal fan for white noise. The Eklund's proximity to local attractions such as Herzstein Memorial Museum and Luna Theater made exploring the area convenient. Overall, Hotel Eklund provided a unique blend of history, comfort, and hospitality, making it a perfect choice for travelers seeking a one-of-a-kind experience in Clayton, New Mexico. I would highly recommend it for those who appreciate a touch of nostalgia and a glimpse into the past.
